Exactly what Ramos said to Ronaldo in dressing room after CL final has been revealed

Cristiano Ronaldo may not have played an integral part in Real Madrid's Champions League final against Liverpool on Saturday, but he still managed to make sure the headlines after the game were all about him.

On the pitch, Ronaldo was frustrated throughout and struggled to make an impact.

But his comments immediately after the game made sure he took the spotlight.

In his post-match interview, Ronaldo claimed that it 'had been beautiful' to play for Real Madrid, before announcing he will make a decision on his future in the coming days.

This angered many, including club captain Sergio Ramos.

Ramos vented that was going to speak to Ronaldo after the game and try and clarify his feelings.

"If there is something there, he must clarify it today," he said, per Marca. "He is a key piece for us. He could not be in a better place."

WHAT SERGIO RAMOS SAID IN DRESSING ROOM

And now it has been revealed exactly what Ramos said to Ronaldo in the dressing room.

According to Marca, Ramos explained to Ronaldo that it was not the right time to speak about his future, although he added that his Real Madrid teammates will help him make a decision.

"It isn't good what you have done, it wasn't the right time to say it," Ramos reportedly told the winger.

"Wait. Do not insist. You have to take a step back and we will help you. We are with you, but you must help too."

Nice words from Ramos.

That's captaincy for you.

Instead of completely destroying Ronaldo, he offered the team's support in what was a tricky time for the Portuguese star.

Their chat seems to have done the trick, too.

After the team had emerged from the dressing room, Ronaldo apologised during an interview in the mixed zone.

"It takes away from a beautiful, historic moment for us that is winning three Champions Leagues in a row, obviously it is a special moment," he told Fox Sports.

"It's always great to win the Champions League because I know how important that competition is, I have had a great Champions League from start to finish so I'm very happy.

"A player's personal things aren't the most important thing now, it might have been taken out of context but maybe I shouldn't have said what I said."

And he apologised again during the trophy celebration in Madrid, shouting down the mic to fans : "Thank guys, see you next year."

A big portion of the credit must go to Ramos for calming the whole situation down if Ronaldo does stay at the club.

If Ronaldo does leave this summer, where will he go? Have your say by leaving a comment below.
